Judge the cause of circuit breaker failure in Split Meter Ready Board and its treatment

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 395

The circuit breaker in the Split Meter Ready Board refuses to close, which is basically in the process of closing operation and reclosing. This kind of fault is very harmful.

For example, if the standby power supply breaker refuses to switch on when it is required to switch on the standby power supply in an emergency, the accident will be expanded. Generally, there are three steps to judge the cause and treatment of circuit breaker failure.

1) Check whether the previous closing refusal was caused by improper operation (e.g. the control switch was released too fast, etc.), and use the control switch to close again.

2) If the closing is still unsuccessful, check the conditions of each part of the electrical circuit to determine whether there is a fault in the electrical circuit. Check whether the closing control power supply is normal. Whether the circuit breaker of closing control circuit is in good condition. Whether the contact of closing circuit breaker is normal. Turn the control switch to the closing position to see if the closing iron core operates normally.

3) If the electrical circuit is normal and the circuit breaker still cannot be closed, it indicates that it is a mechanical fault. The circuit breaker should be stopped and reported to the dispatcher for maintenance.
