These are actually 2 kinds of materials for meter box. The raw materials of the plastic meter box shell we produce are divided into cover and base. The front cover is a highly transparent PC, and the base is ABS or PC+ABS; The raw material of SMC meter box shell is SMC composite material, commonly known as glass fiber reinforced plastic, which is completely different from PC/ABS in material and production process. SMC material can be used in more complex environments.
Usually, customers choose to purchase stainless steel or SMC distribution boxes. The meter boxes are made of plastic and stainless steel.
