Judging the reason and treatment method of circuit breaker refusal in split meter ready board

Publish Time: Author: Site Editor Visit: 299

A circuit breaker in split meter ready board refuses to close (also known as an incomplete trip) for several reasons:

Overload: The load exceeds the rated load of the circuit breaker, causing the overload protection device to trigger.

Short circuit: A short circuit fault occurs in the circuit that prevents the circuit breaker from fully closing.

Circuit breaker aging: After a circuit breaker has been used for a long time, the internal components may wear or age, affecting its normal operation.

Approach:

Verify load is not overloaded, reduce load or replace high capacity circuit breaker.

Check the circuit, find out the cause of the short circuit, and then close the switch after repairing the fault.

If the circuit breaker is aging, replace it with a new one in time.

Before handling, disconnect the power supply to ensure safety.

If you are not sure about the cause or improper handling may cause danger, it is recommended to seek the help of a professional electrician for investigation and treatment.
